Problem: (public)

I have created a new frame for a drawing (A0 lengthened to 1982mm from 1189mm).

The field coordinates in the original A0 are A – M and 1 – 16. In our drawing frame they range from A – M and 1 – 27.

However, the coordinates on the "805-Position" tab are shown wrongly. For example, on the right C16 is shown instead if C27.

Solution: (public)

The following details the correct approach for created or adapting a new drawing frame:

  • Select a template as a frame from the ...\CADISON\TEMPLATE\frameS directory and open it in AutoCAD

  • Enable the layer PHI_STER (visible and thawed). You will now be able to see the raster with the attributes on the cross coordinates

  • Click "Stretch"´to lengthen the right-hand side of the frame.
When doing so, make sure the frame elongation is several times larger than the raster size

  • Enter any missing column and row names at the edge

  • Then copy the grey raster lines and the attributes to fill in the gap that has been created

  • Name the attributes copied at the cross points according to your new raster (double-click it)

  • The attributes $LL (lower left) and $UR (upper right) stand for the lower left and upper right corner of the frame.
CADISON inserts the text box later in place of $INSERT

  • Save the drawing frame as a new file in the same directory as the template

  • You can now select the drawing frame you have just created under "CADISON/Project & Document Manager/Drwaing sheet" In Designer. The objects now contain the correct positions here.
